If you like star trails, just set up a tripod and let it rip. I just plug the camera in and select download from the camera.gimmicky but I've found it quite useful.Ī nice sharp prime lens (50 f1.4, 100 macro, 200 f2.8) stepped down a stop makes for a wonderful wide field imaging of the night sky. Heck, I even like the fact I can dl the images to the PC without using the PC mouse/keyboard. I'm done pixel peeping now that I'm satisfied with the performance.on to just enjoying it. IQ has been great, exposures tend to be darker than the XT, which is good. I've probably taken 300-400 daytime images as well, including some soccer action shots with my Sigma 70-200 f2.8 and some macro shots, and I've been quite thrilled.focus has been spot on with all the lenses. But it is nice to have when adjusting things. I use the LCD sparingly at night due to possible heat buildup. The only annoyance it the 'ON' light.not something you want shining when doing astrophotography. I was very comfortable processing them.no monsters hiding under the sheets. The astro images showed me nothing worrisome. I've been working out a workflow which allows me to punch up the saturation without making the image too noisy. Thanks.I really like the way the colors came through.
